Mae and Alec - Islington Town Hall and Prince Albert Camden wedding

Mae and Alec got married in September and I absolutely adored photographing their wedding.  They are such a great couple to spend time with, their engagement shoot was brilliant fun and I just knew their wedding would have a similar vibe. A day full of love, laughter, family and friends - with cute and quirky little touches that made it personal to them. And I have to say an amazing playlist, it rocked!   When Camera Obscura was the second song to fill the dance floor I knew they were in for a good night!
Their wedding day was filled with extra emotion as two weeks after the wedding they were moving to New York, where they are now settled and enjoying building their new life. The photos seemed to take on an extra meaning as I was shooting, I knew that these images would provide happy memories for both Mae and Alec and their lovely families, and would be one of the last times they were all together for a little while.   It's a huge honour to share these images on my blog today - congratulations again Mae and Alec...I can't wait to put your album together very soon! :)
They got ready at a hotel in Angel and then hopped in taxis to Islington Town Hall for their ceremony.  This is where I got married almost 4 years ago and I absolutely adore it there, such an amazing building. The plan was to transport their guests in a routemaster to Camden, to the Prince Albert pub for their reception - exciting!
Aw Tatty Devine name necklaces as little gifts....so cute!
Mae loves old cameras and film photography, she bought a polaroid to their engagement shoot and gave her two friends a Holga as a present on the morning of the wedding.
And a 'married' necklace for Mae as a present from Alec just after the ceremony...he gave her a 'Will You Marry Me?' one when they got engaged! Heart melting right here...
Next stop Camden Town! Oh I do love a London pub wedding!

It's raining? Oh well, we've got an umbrella! Heading down to the canal for some portraits after dinner...
Back to The Prince Albert for fun and games and lots and lots of dancing...
Dancing with your daddy, on his feet, like you did when you were little. I can't lie, there were tears rolling down my face while I photographed this magical moment.   Thank you for having me Mae and Alec, and also to your family and friends for making me so welcome.  Your wedding absolutely rocked!
