WHAT IS A BRAND SHOOT?

It’s time spent working together to create a series of images that celebrate your business and tell your story - images that invite your clients into the heart of your brand. It can be a mix of a lifestyle shoot which features images of your products being used in context (possibly by models of your choice) and a portrait session which captures images of you and your team, showcasing what makes you unique - it's all about creating images which suit what you need for your business!

As a the owner of a small, creative business we wear many different crowns all in one day. Photographing brand stories is so inspiring - I am passionate about indie business and I want your hours of hard work, passion and dedication to be shown in all their glory, giving you a beautiful set of images you can share with your clients. Images that help you to engage with your customers in a meaningful way, to relate to you and your brand.

WHY?

It can be perfect for the launch of a new product or service, a business milestone/anniversary, or a behind the scenes look at your brand. You could need images for a new website, or a refresh of your portfolio. Brand sessions are also great to create social media images for you to release over the next few months or to capture an event or celebration. We all know that these days, social media and online content is powered by images, and I want the images I create to make you stand out and engage with your customers, showing them the uniqueness of you.

During your pre-shoot planning session we will think about where and how you plan to use your final images. Do you have an idea for an Instagram campaign, or are looking to showcase your images on a website header or flyer? I'll guide you through this when we chat and will shoot to match your needs. I shoot in both portrait and landscape orientation - there will be a good mix of both in your final gallery so you have plenty to choose from.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO PHOTOGRAPH?

I love to meet the people I photograph before hand - we can meet locally for a cuppa, or we can get to know one another over Skype. I want to hear all about you and your business - tell me your story! This really helps me to understand where you are coming from and helps your 'why' speak through the images. It's a chance for us both to ask any questions we have, and helps the shoot roll smoothly, getting the most out of our time together resulting in truly personal images. I use this opportunity to find out what you want from the shoot and any requirements for the images. We'll talk about what they will be used for and discuss location, light, products, aesthetic etc. Together we come up with a plan for the day - a list of suggested images or themes to work towards, and a running order if needed. I do love a good plan and list but by being well prepared it means we can also be flexible and go with what happens on the day in a creative way. I’m around by phone or email before the shoot so you can get in touch if there are any other things you need to let me know or ask beforehand.
