September instagram round up

A September round up....I love Autumn! :)

A little selfie from this afternoon : I love doing little makeovers and thought I'd wear my Crown and Glory
 flower crown...love it!

Erm.... It's October. How did that happen!? Happy October! September was an exciting busy crazy month - I feel like it flew by in a blink of an eye...so here's a little instagram update of things that have been going on in Lexy Land.   I've loved zooming round the country shooting gorgeous weddings and have spent the rest of the month hard at work editing and some other engagement and family shoots - all coming soon to the blog yay!

Starting with work stuff, here are the highlights- it's been awesome, and really exciting :)  I've had two photos of mine featured on magazine front covers this month -eeeeee! It's such an amazing feeling and I am so thankful to Erica from Mr and Mrs Unique who styled the shoot - and to the other lovely suppliers involved (Federica Bruno Couture and the Basement Florist....check out the shoot here on Bespoke Bride blog...)

I also had a couple of photos from the Rock n Roll Bride and Crown and Glory collaboration in Wedding Ideas and Mollie Makes - woop woop! :)

We had an over night road trip to Wales to shoot Charlotte and Alex's wedding - what a gorgeous bed and breakfast we stayed in.  The morning light in the bathroom was beautiful.

Welsh tastiness..

Shooting Sam & Caroline's wedding with my buddy Laura second shooting with me - lots of fun! They had glowing rabbits and they gave me one when I went home - so awesome, he's now sitting on my desk!

Thank you cards are pretty overwhelming - it's so lovely to receive one from my couples, and I keep them all.  Ellena & Charlie sent me some camera goodies too - thank you so much, they are awesome! Jacs and James made a little montage of their photos - I love it! :) Stuck on my wall of joy...

Oh, and I shot the The Blogcademy! :) It was so awesome - I can't wait to share more photos soon!

It's amazing to see my couples use their photos - Emma & David have pinned some up on their fridge - and Lauren & Ray had their engagement photos on display at their wedding - so awesome!

And so work aside...I've been trying hard to make sure I look after myself during the busy wedding season. It's not been easy, I am pretty exhausted and even though have loved every minute of shooting weddings this summer, I am looking forward to a little rest over the Autumn.

For me, loving the little things is the most important part of life - we all have busy lives and pressures whatever our situation but I one of the reasons I love instagram is being able to capture the moments that make life special.

Tatty Devine autumn leaves necklace, kitty cuddle, tower bridge and lie ins...

Daf's grandad bought us a bench as a surprise - what an amazing present! Have also been loving glittery nails on grey days!

Meeting up with friends - I was so exhausted on this day and had a blinder of a headache, but I made myself go - and I'm so glad I did. Friends are so important. It was Laura's 30th recently and we met up to celebrate at Caravan in Kings Cross, oh boy I love it there and their coffee is delicious!

Making an effort to spend time with Daf has become a priority - time away from social media and the pressures of work stress - we also ploughed through Mad Men series 6 in September (we don't have a TV so were waiting for the boxset.) It received mixed reviews but we loved it!

I went to see my friend Erica for a meeting and came back with some cooking apples and a Polaroid land camera...how awesome is that. I think Kitty was impressed...

Baths are essential when I get home from a long day shooting a wedding, stops any aching the next day! :)

On the way back from a shoot in London the other day, I popped into the giant Paperchase on Tottenham Court Road - its a paper heaven - love it! :)

So that was September, cor blimey it went quickly. October is about lots and lots and lots of editing and recovering, getting fit, eating healthily and drinking lots of water.  Oh and hopefully lots of beautiful autumn leaves and misty  mornings - they're my favourite.  What are you looking forward to in October? I can't wait to take some autumn photographs! :)
