Wedding Preparation : Lou's Safari Hen Day

Last Saturday I spent the day with my lovely friend Louise and her hens.  Lou and her lovely boy Edd got engaged on safari in Africa, hence the theme! Her brilliant bridesmaids organised a safari themed day, starting off in the SLUG and Lettuce in Clapham, moving onto the PEACOCK bar for cupcakes and chocolate making, a rest on Clapham Common (where we attracted several lesser spotted Australians!) and finished off the evening in the Coach and HORSES for a murder mystery.  It was a gorgeous day with lots of laughs along the way - Lou is great fun to be with, as you can see in these photos, she always has a huge smile on her face.  I just wanted to say thank you to all those who organised the day - we all had a fabulous time (it's not every Saturday night I get to dress up as Dolly Parton!). It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones too, I can't wait for the wedding next weekend!

Mmm chocolate...lots got eaten rather than molded!

I loved the cupcake decorating. HOW have I not done this before!? I really want another go already! (Although mine were slightly unstable as there was more topping than cake, surely the sign of a good one if you ask me...)

Heading for Clapham Common for the last of the afternoon sun...

Oh go on then, one sneaky shot of the evening murder mystery...
